May Work Day at the Iris Sankey Native Garden in Kit Carson Park

Escondido Historic District Tours

All walking tours start from the SE corner of Grand and Broadway (in front of Draper's & Damon's) EXCEPT South Escondido Blvd walks which start from the NE corner of Escondido Blvd at 5th Avenue
 
Stop by the Historical Society Office at Grape Day Park to pick up a 2006 schedule.

Saturdays in Spring & Fall
Bottle Peak Hike
Meet at Ralph's on East Valley Pkwy at 8:00 a.m. for the excursion of a lifetime.  Bring hiking shoes, snacks, and plenty of water.

Bernardo Mountain Hike with Jack Pomeroy 
Various dates throughout year
8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 
Call Jack Pomeroy for next hike date
This is a moderate to strenuous 7.5 roundtrip trek to the top of Bernardo Mountain. This hike passes through the pristine beauty of Felicita Creek.  You do not have to complete the entire hike.  Some people will choose to stop and enjoy the Felicita Creek sights.
 
Note: Several years ago ECEC made a significant contribution for the purchase of Bernardo Mountain.
